WHECO repaired this American 5299 boom tip section at our Houston, TX, repair facility. The section was damaged when it was two-blocked, and the chords and plating around the tip required repair. WHECO provided a restoration that included soda-blasting and paint. The repair was engineered and performed to comply with all OSHA, ANSI, and AWS standards and regulations. All the welds were non-destructive tested, and the support documentation was provided with the repair.
