This accident-damaged Link-Belt 8655 incurred damage to multiple hydraulic cylinders, boom sections, and the upper super structure. WHECO’s Houston, TX, heavy equipment repair facility replaced one cylinder and provided an economic rebuild to the others. All welds on the boom sections and super structure were engineered and NDT tested. The truck crane was load tested and re-certified. All repairs were documented, and a complete documentation package was provided with the repair.
